The Castair I10112VC3-S combines a 10 HP single-phase motor, 120-gallon vertical ASME tank, and Castair's slow-speed C3 cast iron pump into the quietest, longest-wearing 10 HP single-phase compressor in the lineup. The C3 pump runs at 570 RPM — 188 RPM slower than the C2 variant. Output is unchanged at 45.0 CFM at 0 PSI and 35.0 CFM at 175 PSI. The price is more weight (1,040 lbs versus 875 lbs for the C2) and a higher purchase price. The benefit is a pump that runs noticeably cooler, wears measurably slower, and sounds quieter than the already-slow C2.
