About Us
Who We Are
Air Compressor Factory Direct is an authorized Cast Air dealer and a division of OEM Diagnostic Tools. We sell factory direct — no distributors, no middlemen, no markup stacked on markup. We built this operation specifically to give independent shops, fleet facilities, and industrial buyers a straight path to Cast Air equipment at real prices. If you've priced compressors lately, you know how much territory there is between manufacturer cost and what most dealers charge. We cut that out.
The Cast Air Brand
Cast Air has been manufacturing air compressors in Spicer, Minnesota since 1991. It's a family-owned operation, and they build every machine the way compressors used to be built — all cast iron. Cylinders, heads, crankcase. Not aluminum. Not plastic shrouds over stamped components. Cast iron.
The internals match the build quality: tapered roller bearings, automotive-type rod bearings, disc and spring valves. These aren't high-RPM splash-lubed machines that run hot and wear fast. Cast Air runs at lower RPM, which means longer pump life, less heat, and a machine you can actually service when something eventually needs attention.
Their lineup covers a wide range of applications:
- Industrial Series — 5 to 25 HP, built for continuous shop use
- Duplex — dual-pump configuration for redundancy and higher CFM demand
- Rotary Screw — for facilities that need constant-duty air
- Gas Powered — Honda-powered units for job sites and remote work
- Contractor Series — portable units built for field use
- Pumps, tanks, components, and accessories — the full support line
What We Carry and Why
We stock the complete Cast Air catalog — more than 50 compressor models along with pumps, air receivers, refrigerated dryers, magnetic starters, fittings, compressor oil, filters, and accessories. One source for the equipment and everything that goes with it.
We chose to align with Cast Air because the product holds up to scrutiny. Cast iron construction, serviceable design, low operating RPM, and a price point that doesn't require a capital equipment budget to reach. An independent shop owner can buy a properly-spec'd Cast Air unit without financing it over three years. That matters when you're running a business on margin.
Who We Sell To
Our customers run compressors for a living:
- Independent auto and truck repair shops

- Dealers and distributors looking to add Cast Air to their line
If you're running air tools, paint guns, sanders, or pneumatic equipment of any kind, the compressor is the machine everything else depends on. We help you get the right one sized for your actual demand — not undersized to save a few hundred dollars upfront.
Support
Call 866-217-0063 and you'll get someone who can talk compressors with you. We handle sizing questions, installation walkthroughs, parts identification, and warranty support. If you're not sure whether a 5 HP single-stage unit covers your shop load or whether you need a 10 HP two-stage, we'll walk through the CFM numbers with you before you buy anything.
No automated phone system. No support ticket queue. Just direct answers from people who know the equipment. That's how we prefer to operate, and it's how Cast Air has run their business for 35 years in Minnesota.
