Castair Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer — 107 CFM @ 37F (RD113-60K)
The Castair RD113-60K is a refrigerated compressed air dryer rated for 107 CFM at a 37 degree F dew point, or 130 CFM at 50 degrees F. It connects with 1" NPT fittings, runs on standard 115V single-phase power drawing 9.0 amps, and weighs 119 lbs with a footprint of 11.4 x 30.5 x 24.5 inches. This is the correct dryer for a shop running a 10 to 25 HP compressor where moisture in the air lines is causing paint blushing, tool rust, or pneumatic component failures.
Castair refrigerated dryers use Freon refrigerant (R134a and R407c) to drop compressed air temperature until water vapor condenses, then drain that condensate automatically through an onboard moisture drain system that only cycles when water is present — conserving compressed air compared to timed-drain designs. The stainless steel heat exchanger handles even heat transfer for consistent dew point performance. Target dew point is 37 degrees F, which keeps water vapor below the condensation point at the tool or point of use in normal shop temperature conditions.

When Does a Shop Need a Refrigerated Dryer?
You need a refrigerated dryer if: You are seeing rust in air lines or air tools, water in the bottom of spray guns, paint blushing or fisheye in finish work, pneumatic valve failures, or water coming out of air outlets. Any compressed air system produces water — every 1,000 gallons of atmospheric air compressed to 100 PSI condenses approximately 1 gallon of water. Without a dryer, that water moves through your system.
The RD113-60K is sized for: Compressors producing up to 107 CFM at normal shop conditions (100F inlet, 100F ambient). This covers most 15-25 HP rotary screw compressors. If your compressor is in a hot equipment room where discharge air temperatures exceed 100F, apply the 55% derating and size up accordingly.
Pre-filter required: Castair requires a properly sized particulate pre-filter upstream of the dryer for warranty coverage and to protect the heat exchanger. Castair sells both particulate and coalescing filter assemblies — call 866-217-0063 for the correct pre-filter for your line size and CFM.
Installation Options
- Standalone: Install inline between your compressor and air distribution system
- Factory-mounted option: Mount dryer on a new Castair compressor with 3/4" NPT 3-ball valve bypass, metal flex hose, and vibration pads (option DM75 for RD59-11K or smaller; DP100 for RD71-15K or larger including this unit — bypass plumbed, not mounted on compressor)
