The Castair I718HC2 is a 7.5 horsepower, single-phase industrial compressor on an 80-gallon horizontal ASME tank with the C2 pump configuration, without factory-mounted aftercooler. The aftercooler-equipped version is the I718HC2-S.
The C2 pump runs at 585 RPM and delivers 35.0 CFM free air (28.1 CFM at 175 PSI), making it the higher-output pump in the 7.5 HP 80-gallon horizontal lineup. At 760 lbs, this is a substantial industrial unit designed for continuous shop service.

I718HC2 vs. I718HC2-S
The only difference is the aftercooler. The -S model comes with a factory-mounted beltguard aftercooler (#BGAC1M, 35 CFM rated). If you are doing spray painting or moisture-sensitive work, get the -S. For general tire and impact wrench service, the base I718HC2 is appropriate — and adding an aftercooler later is an option using option #BGAC1M.
