Castair C-LS10 — 1" Air Line Lubricator, 250 PSI, 180 CFM
The C-LS10 is a 1-inch NPT standard-size air line lubricator from Castair. It introduces a controlled mist of oil into the compressed air stream to lubricate downstream pneumatic tools and air-operated equipment that require continuous lubrication during operation. At 180 CFM and 250 PSI maximum inlet pressure, it is sized for the largest air lines in industrial and commercial shop installations.
Not all pneumatic equipment needs in-line lubrication — modern air tools, cylinders with pre-lubricated seals, and many production components run better on clean, dry, oil-free air. Before installing a lubricator, confirm that your downstream equipment is designed for lubricated air. For equipment that does require it, the C-LS10 on a 1-inch main or branch line keeps moving parts properly protected.
What This Unit Does
- Controlled Oil Mist Injection: Meters a fine oil mist into the air stream. The feed rate is adjustable to match the lubrication requirements of the downstream equipment.
- 11 oz Oil Reservoir: Holds enough oil for extended operation between refills. Check and refill the reservoir on a scheduled basis — running dry defeats the purpose of in-line lubrication.
- 1" NPT Female Connections: Standard threading — fits directly to 1-inch pipe or fittings without adapters.
- 250 PSI Max / 180 CFM: Handles full-flow conditions on large industrial and commercial compressor outputs on a 1-inch main line.
Where It Fits in the Air System
- Install after filtration and pressure regulation — the lubricator is the last component before the air reaches your tools. Sequence: filter → regulator → lubricator.
- Do not install a lubricator upstream of equipment that requires oil-free air. Pneumatic cylinders with internal lubrication, spray guns, breathing air systems, and many production tools are damaged or compromised by oil contamination.
- In a shop running mixed equipment — some requiring lubrication, some requiring clean air — install lubricators only at the drops feeding lubrication-dependent tools rather than on the main line.
