What This Component Does
On a tank-mounted compressor, the base mount top plate is the interface between the motor/pump assembly and the air receiver tank. The motor feet bolt to this plate, the pump mounting hardware fastens to it, and all the dynamic loads from the running machine pass through it into the tank structure. On large-frame compressors, this plate needs to be sized to match the mounting footprint of the larger motor and pump combination.
