It cools compressed air from discharge temperatures as high as 350 degrees F back down to within 15 degrees of ambient, forcing the moisture that compression vaporizes to condense and drain at the aftercooler rather than throughout your shop air system. Why Aftercoolers Belong on Every Compressor Installation
Water in compressed air is not a filter problem — it is a temperature problem. Compression heats air and keeps moisture suspended as vapor. As that air travels through your distribution system and cools, the vapor condenses. Without an aftercooler, it condenses in your air lines, in your tools, in your spray guns. Free Standing vs. Belt Guard Style at 50 CFM
- BGAC2 — Belt guard style, 50 CFM, 1" connections, 18" x 14.5", 12 lbs. Mounts on or near the compressor. Available loose (BGAC2) or pre-mounted (BGAC2M).

If your compressor is accessible and the belt guard area is workable, the BGAC2 is a simpler installation at 12 lbs. The FSAC50 works for installations where the compressor is in an enclosure or where remote mounting is preferred.

Sizing and Buying Guidance
- FSAC50 is correct for compressors delivering 35-50 CFM at the discharge port
- Step down to FSAC35 only if your compressor delivers under 35 CFM
- Step up to FSAC75 if your compressor delivers 50-75 CFM — never undersize an aftercooler; restriction increases backpressure and reduces cooling contact time
- Both FSAC50 and FSAC75 use 1" NPT connections — if you are between 50 and 75 CFM, use the FSAC75
